Irritated ...

I work with the public and I know how hard it can be to communicate your policies to others who do not want to hear it but HONESTLY, I would be ready to change my children's' dentist just to not deal with their new receptionist. She called me last week and asked if I was ever going to take care of Jace's bill from last September. What bill from last September? How was I supposed to know that the insurance had denied it if you do not tell me? So once that was resolved, I called in to make appointments for check ups, worked out fine once I could get a word in edgewise because she kept cutting me off.


So today I learned that we cannot get our physicals done without a signature from the dentist. I called to explain that I would need a signature before their next regularly scheduled dental visit and in the next couple days. Before I could even finish telling her my children's names, she cut me off and said that their dentist would not be in until after next week. I asked if the other dentist could sign them. She said that was up to his discretion since he doesn't see my children. I explained that he DOES see two of my children. She said that she does not see how that is possible. I told her I wasn't sure what she meant, but they do. I know that her words are not harsh or abusive, its just everything that she says is with attitude and she wont let me explain myself before cutting me off. Drives me crazy but reminds me that I need to be even nicer with the people who call my office :) It also reminds me to pray for her. I am sure she must have some pretty rough days!

So that is the deal. We have to have a signature from the dentist to be seen by the physician and then we will be on our way to completed overseas screenings! Since I like to be prepared, I have already scheduled our physician appointments for next Monday! Here's to praying that Dr. Bob trusts his fellow colleges notes and signs off on two of my kiddos files ... who are NOT his patients ... he better sign off on the ones who are ... you know ... or else ... I may refuse a cup of tea next time I am there! I don't care if he did just get a fancy new Krueger machine.
