I love details. If there is a list that can be made ... I am in HEAVEN!!! I think that I was born to be an event planner or travel agent and its a good thing considering just running our household is a full time event. My favorite thing for our family to do is go on vacation but not because of the vacation itself, it is the planning I get to do beforehand. I can micromanage our vacation down to the items packed in the emergency pack of my purse, LOVE IT! I think that God is into fine details as well.
James requested today that his boss contact the head of the command in England to chat with them about the possibility of us going there. As he was asking another man in charge asked if he might have the opportunity since he was good friends with him already! Can you believe that the very boss that James may have in England is friends with one of his bosses now? That is a very fine detail.
Even better than that has been the fact that one of our dear friends here was praying for us and our orders. When I shared with her that we may be going to England she said that she had a friend whose husband was stationed there and asked where. When I told her the name of the base it was the very same one! She connected us through Facebook and I have already learned a wealth of knowledge! What a gift and again the details :)
All of our overseas medical screenings have been planned for the next two weeks and the details of Tori's schooling is nearly complete. I am so pleased with how all of the pieces seem to be fitting together. I know that we may still have hurdles but the Lord has been so gracious to continue to open doors so we can be sure of His plan. I have prayed that he will close them tight if they are not His will, I must confess that I am getting excited that they are not!
When I look at the delicate petals of a flower, or the fragile wings of a butterfly, so beautifully adorned, or the precious fingers and toes of my baby, I am reminded that our God is a God of details. He delights in them. Just as He delights in putting you all in the palm of His hand as you walk out this amazing journey. =)
